First FRESHWATER Sesh of the WINTER! - Yellow Perch - Long Island NY

What's up guys! This is my first trip back to freshwater now that the saltwater season finally came to an end. I check out a local lake near me in Suffolk county just after a snow storm dumped a couple inches on us. Luckily a few days prior temps were in the 50's so the lake wasn't frozen over, but the water was still really cold so i figured ill do some ultra light tackle fishing for crappie and perch. I used the Leland's Crappie Magnet on a 1/16oz jighead and kept it suspended with a bobber. The bite was slow in the beginning but i moved around and got into some yellow perch. Didn't find any crappie on this one but it sure was fun still catching the perch on ultra light tackle!
