The ENVY Multifocal Lens by Bausch & Lomb is a lens implant that can help reduce or eliminate the need for glasses after Cataract Surgery or Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE). It is a trifocal lens to help patients see far, intermediate, and near distance without the need for glasses. It also helps neutralize a broad range of astigmatism. Like other multifocal lenses, there are pros and cons with the Envy lens. Although it can eliminate the need for glasses, not everyone is a candidate for this type of lens. Some patients may notice bothersome halos or glare at night, and a few percent of patients may not like their overall vision quality.
