To be completely honest, I am really nervous putting myself out to the general public. Although I am on social media's, this is not likely of myself but an amazing woman named Lori Vale once told me growth occurs when going outside of your comfort zone. My goal with this video is to create awareness, relate to current patients of this tough disease, and to help sufferers embrace their stories. Autoimmune diseases often go neglected due to overlooked physical symptoms and the fact that most of the suffering of symptoms is happening within the body's immune system. I chose to put Beyonce's song "Pretty Hurts" in my video because it is an empowering song that truly helped me overcome the insecurities I endured. Is there a song that helps to empower you?
