UPDATE: With it being over a year since I posted this video my knowledge and understanding of the cost of mod making and mod makers in the U.S. especially has grown a great deal. With that being said, I can see how a higher price tage would be expected on a U.S. made regulated mod. BUT... at the time of this video being made Authentic Hana Modz DNA 30s went for around $250 retail, and in the time since I've bought an SXmini s-class 60 Watt (non temp-control version) for $180, a VaporShark rDNA (DNA30) for $190, an Ipv D2 75 watt temp control for $50 and a Wismec RX200 200 watt temp control (triple 18650) mod for $55. Not too mention a Innokin Cool Fire 4 for $35. Yes pretty much all of those mods are coming from over seas but when it comes down to it I paid $250 for a mod that arrived with a faulty ground wire connection, when less than a year later the Innokin Cool Fire 4 offered more wattage, spring loaded 510 connection and great quality and performance for $215 less than what the Hana Modz Pack V3 delivered. The vaping industry changes at light speed and I am very aware of this, but even after accounting for the pace of change you can be the judge of whether or not $250 for a 30 watt box mod is reasonable or not. The main lesson I have learned is RESEARCH THE MARKET! Know what kind of vaper you are and what fits your needs, then base your buying decision on whether you are looking for something that may be appealing to more of a niche market or something that is going to be a reliable daily vaping device. The IPV V2 is a 7W-50Watt Box Mod that can fire at 0.2-3.0Ohm which is a huge range from a device in the $100 price area. It uses a YiHi SX330 chip updated to 50 Watts. The 510 pin is adjustable via Philips head screw and though that my sound like a negative its not, it is a plus because the durability and life of the 510 is much more than a spring loaded 510 connection. Pioneer 4 has recently released products such as the Seven 22 and the Seven 30 which have become fairly well known as some solid and reliable vaping devices. I personally am a huge fan of the YiHi SX chips and think they perform close to or just as good as authentic DNA boards by evolv.
