The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups English Public Speaking Contest 2024 Grand Finals
The HKFYG English Public Speaking Contest 2024 will be held on 6 April 2024 with its Grand Finals and Awards Ceremony. Since its launch in 2004, over 31,000 students from approximately 400 secondary schools in Hong Kong have participated in the Contest. This year, we aim to build contestants’ growth mindset through pre-contest training, and small group coaching and the newly introduced Best Progress Award. The Best Progress Award encourages contestants to strive for continuous improvement by submitting another speech video in April to compete for the Award. The winner in the Grand Finals shall have the opportunity to represent Hong Kong in an international public speaking competition. Also, the Audience Favourite Awards will be presented to contestants with the most votes by the audience in the Awards Ceremony.
