Learn how to make small batch millionaire bars—a rich and indulgent dessert made with a buttery shortbread crust, creamy caramel filling, and smooth chocolate topping. This easy dessert recipe is perfectly sized for 2-4 people. These caramel shortbread bars are quick to make, delicious to eat, and guaranteed to impress! Shortbread Ingredients 5 Tbsp butter, softened and salted 2 Tbsp granulated sugar 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp all purpose floour Caramel Ingredients: 1/4 cup butter, salted 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed 1 Tbsp light corn syrup 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk Chocolate Layer Ingredients: 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips 1 1/2 Tbsp heavy whipping cream Instructions: Shortbread: In a bowl combine shortbread ingredients. Mix until crumbly. Press into the bottom of a parchment paper lined 9 x 5 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until edges begin to lightly brown. Remove from oven and poke shortbread with a fork all over the surface. Cool and then freeze for 30 minutes. Caramel: In a heavy bottom pan, combine caramel ingredients. Bring to a boil and allow to boil for 1-2 minutes. Stir constantly. Remove from heat and continue to stir for a few minutes with a wooden spoon until it thickens. Remove shortbread from freezer and pour caramel over the top, spread to evenly to coat. Refrigerate until caramel is firm and cooled. Chocolate Layer: In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and whipping cream. Microwave for 1 minute, stir and check every 30 seconds after that until melted and spreadable.. Spread chocolate over top of caramel. Let chocolate set and then cut and enjoy!
