Traducción al ingles: CIRCULAR BREATHING The technique of circular breathing is going to allow us to inhale and exhale at the same time in such a way that our instrument, the didgeridoo, will produce a constant, uniform sound which remains constant and is not interrupted by any gaps. In order to achieve this technique, we need to inflate our cheeks with air and use this air reserve during the moments that we inhale. Therefore it’s normal as you watch someone playing a didgeridoo to notice that they are constantly inflating their cheeks, because they are constantly putting circular breathing into practice. This technique of circular breathing is a technique which is basic and fundamental to all musicians who play wind instruments; for singers and for radio and TV personalities, among others. At first glance it might seem difficult to achieve this technique, but I just need to point out that this technique is very natural and very easy to learn if you are willing to follow these tips which I will now give you. So let's begin. Step One: Begin playing a drone sound on your didgeridoo and keep the sound going until you have no air left Step Two: Play the drone on your didgeridoo, and when you run out of breath you then inhale through your nose Step three: Play a short drone for only one second and then breathe. Repeat this step many times Step Four: Play the drone for half a second and then breathe. In other words, we repeat Step three, but we double the speed at which we breathe. Step Five: We’re going to play the drone on the didgeridoo, but we will only use the air stored in our cheeks. Step Six: We’ll go back to step three, but this time once we run out of air we will use the air from our cheeks, which is the technique that we developed in Step Five. In the seventh step, the final one, we will produce a sustained sound for as long as possible and at the moment we need to breathe we are going to use that air stored in our cheeks. If you follow these instructions which I've given you in this video, I can assure you that you're going to be able to achieve circular breathing. From that point on, you will begin your own adventure with this marvelous instrument. We have now completed our learning process of this very important and fundamental technique for playing the didgeridoo and wind instruments in general. From here on in, we have a long road ahead to discover and develop such things as vocalization techniques, what the harmonics mean, and animal calls and rhythms among others as well.
