No Jargon. This is the full ITA Airways Business Class experience on the Airbus A320neo, flying nonstop from Dubai to Rome. I paid $3,750 USD return for this ticket, so expectations were naturally high. The aircraft features a 1-1 configuration, meaning every seat has direct aisle access. Each seat is designed as a mini suite, offering good privacy for a narrow body aircraft. I was seated in 1A, which is one of the best seats on this plane due to the expanded footwell and extra space around the ottoman. It makes a noticeable difference, especially on a night flight. The seat itself is fully lie flat, comfortable, and well designed for rest. The cabin felt modern, sleek, and impressively quiet during cruise, which was one of the highlights of the flight. Noise levels were very low, and overall comfort was solid for this aircraft type. Seat 1A is close to the galley and lavatories, so there can be a bit more movement, but it did not significantly impact my experience. Service on board was genuinely good. The crew was warm, attentive, professional, and well balanced, friendly without being overbearing. Drinks were offered regularly, and the wine and sparkling wine selection was actually quite good. Unfortunately, this is where the experience fell short. The food was disappointing and well below expectations for a $3,750 USD Business Class ticket. The selection was limited, and the quality was poor. The sandwiches were extremely dry and barely edible. The dishes were dull, and lacked premiumness and flavor. Overall, the catering felt inconsistent with the premium image ITA Airways is trying to project. While the seat, cabin comfort, and service were strong points, the food experience significantly reduced the overall value. For this price point, the quality of meals should be far higher. This is an area that clearly needs improvement. In summary, the overall value proposition of this flight was not met.
