This morning we’re hosting a City Council Watch Party as the Economic & Workforce Development Committee discusses proposed changes to the Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) Ordinance. This ordinance was created to ensure that when developers receive OUR public dollars, the community receives real, enforceable benefits in return — local hiring, affordable housing, workforce development, accountability. Now changes are on the table that could: • Raise thresholds so fewer projects qualify • Reduce oversight • Limit community voice • Make it easier for developers to receive public assistance without meaningful return The question is simple: 👉🏾 Will our Council Members stand in the paint for residents?
