This is the Bu Bois Library, the tallest library in the United States (College records state tallest in the World, but that's wrong), and we ride a pair of Montgomery Traction Elevators, at U-Mass Amherst, Amherst, Massachusetts. We ride a Low-Rise one first, then a High-Rise one. Outside on another Low-Riser, the rest are down, being modernized by ThyssenKrupp Elevator. You might notice the voices in the shaft, which is them hard at work. These sway a little bit, make a lot of noise (classic Monty), but ride well, and are fairly smooth. Since they are older lifts, the ΔS is a bit high, but fairly tollerable. The one elevator we didn't ride, has Pre-Door, and the rest do not. That lift was recorded on my 1'st attempt, when the camera messed up royally. (Look for an EPIC FAIL video on that.) Too bad these are being modernized. These just needed some TLC.
