I finished it roughly 3 years ago, and after 4 revisions, 2 re-masters, and a label release that was in the works for 3 years and got cancelled at the beginning of this one, I can finally, proudly present, Whispers of the Forest. When I first finished it, roughly 3 years ago, I sent it around to some labels, looking for a home for it. One got back to me and said yes! This is a label I'm very fond of, and I was so excited. To keep it short, basically, during these 3 years, there were changes, talks, revisions, differences, internal discussions, all sorts. I held on to hope this whole time, thinking to myself that the wait would be so so worth it. First it was gonna be part of this big album, then we contemplated not using it, then it was gonna be a single, then we went back to it being part of the album, etc etc. But at the beginning of this year, they finally told me that the release had been cancelled. This wasn't because of anything I did, or because of the quality of my song, or anything. They just had some changes within the label, and the timing unfortunately wasn't in my favor. BUT, instead of letting all that get me down, I'm taking this song that I am extremely proud of, and after so much time, I'm self-releasing it, giving it all the attention and effort that I can. They're still good people, and I still hope to work with them one day. They were also nice enough to let me still use the art that they paid for, and I'm very thankful for that, as it turned out great.
