Today I'm back with a new and personal song called "Mirage" - a beautiful vocal piece with a bit of Eastern influence in my singing. My biggest inspiration for this song and video was the idea of a mirage appearing in a desert. The pond of water is not really there, but it's not completely an illusion either - it's something the mind can easily believe. When the conditions are right, when the air is too hot, this phenomenon happens. And in our lives, "mirages" appear when the emotions get intense, when the "air" is too hot. Whenever I stopped trusting myself, I felt surrounded by the illusions - the "mirages" created by other people: their fears, their emotions, their expectations. So this song came from some recent experiences I had, and it celebrates intuition - that quiet voice that I sometimes choose to ignore. But I'm slowly realizing that it's just not worth ignoring anymore.
