The idea for this new album by pianist Nino Gvetadze started in the beginning of 2020, around the time Covid 19 got a hold on the world. This year turned out to be a time of loneliness, isolation and silence. The pandemic put us all on hold in our humanity and this break was to be our new reality. The music of Robert Schumann, who as no one else, understood the difference sides of human nature, came as a true blessing for Nino Gvetadze. In his time the term "Frei Aber Einsam" ("free but lonely') was something he had a lot of connection with. And now, in our time, this period just feels 'Einsam'!
