Nebraska Sends 10 Wrestlers to NCAA Championships with Eyes on Another Top Finish

Nebraska will send a full lineup to the NCAA Wrestling Championships this week, with all 10 weight classes represented as the Huskers head to Cleveland for the national tournament. Coach Mark Manning said Nebraska’s goal is not simply qualifying wrestlers but competing for a team title. “Our strength is in our team concept,” Manning said. “I think our guys all feed off each other. I think we have a really good advantage that way and now we just have to go out and let it go. Just go get it.” Six Nebraska wrestlers earned top-10 seeds when the NCAA released the tournament brackets. Leading the group is 157-pounder Antrell Taylor, the No. 2 seed and the defending NCAA champion at the weight. The Omaha native enters the tournament 22-3 after finishing runner-up at the Big Ten Championships and is making his third NCAA appearance. Nebraska also has two No. 3 seeds in Brock Hardy at 141 pounds and Christopher Minto at 174 pounds after both placed second at the Big Ten Championships. Overall, the Huskers have nine automatic qualifiers in the field. Heavyweight AJ Ferrari is the No. 4 seed as he prepares for his third NCAA tournament appearance. Nebraska enters the championships with momentum after finishing runner-up at the 2025 NCAA Championships, the best finish in program history. The Huskers produced two national champions and eight All-Americans in that tournament.
