As a key figure in Rochester's hip-hop scene, ZONE FUA's contributions will be remembered for years to come. We're paying tribute to Oowop, also known as "The Heart of the City," a beloved artist from Hudson and Alphonse who recently passed away. Oowop's legacy lives on through his music and art, and we're honored to celebrate his life with a mural in his honor. This mural was spearheaded by a phone call from Rigz from Da Cloth, a respected MC and producer from Rochester, known for his street-savvy sound and innovative concepts. Oowop formed an alliance with local artist Lil Eto, producing "Real Talk" music over gritty beats crafted by some of Rochester's greatest producers. Although Oowop was known in many neighborhoods, this mural serves as a lasting tribute to his impact on the city's music scene.
