In this video - Greg Mathis, Jr and Elliott Cooper travel to the White House to celebrate President Biden signing the Respect for Marriage Act. This legislation will put federal protections in place for same-sex and interracial marriages. Greg land in Washington, DC at Dulles airport at around 12:30am in the morning and head to their DC home. Greg and Elliott wake up the morning of the bill signing ceremony and go get coffee and a few clothing items for the ceremony. Greg and Elliott are dressed for the bill signing ceremony and take a couple of celebratory shots of gin before leaving for the White House. Greg and Elliott joke about being on time for the ceremony and recall the time Greg caused them to miss their flight to Spain, because Greg could not read military time. Greg and Elliott joke about how Elliott still has not proposed to Greg. Greg arrive to the White House and the ceremony is beautiful. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave remarks at the event. Singer Sam Smith sang an excellent rendition of their song "Stay with Me". President Biden arrives to sign the bill alongside First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff. At the event Greg and Elliott were able to hang with other guests including: White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre Vice President Kamala Harris Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg Chasten Buttigieg Greg takes some time to reflect in the morning on how big of a moment this was. He talks about the gay couples that were there who have been waiting for their marriage protections for years. Greg and Elliott have to work most of Wednesday so they aren't able to explore much of Washington, DC. They are already headed back to Los Angeles and end the video arriving home to their French Bulldogs - Knox and Dax.
