I make tests & videos for my own fun and to share with people interested in home recording studios! -Marty BACKGROUND: I needed to decide which pair of preamps (w/DI) we're going to be used in a semi-permanent set up, so I methodically tested 3 pairs I had available for the task against each other. I recorded a DI guitar directly into Logic, then re-amped it THROUGH A typical (for me) pedal chain (with pedals bypassed) to see if any preamp was better/worse with noise outside of it's own noise floor. *I used a daisy chain power supply instead of my normal isolated supplies with the idea that this may cause more noise, and it's the noise I'm looking for... if it's there!
