Big changes are coming to the Drow this summer in R.A. Salvatore's new novel Starlight Enclave, here is a summary of CLASSIC D&D Drow, Lloth, Driders and the Underdark as they currently exist in lore. This is an original story of one matriarchal family house of Drow and their encounter with the Spider Queen Lloth who is neither merciless, or forgiving. Also, I have settled on my personal pronunciation of "LAW-TH" for LOLTH after batting around different iterations during my filming :) The "dark elves" are originally depicted as being wholly evil due to the corrupting nature of Lolth, the goddess at the heart of drow culture.
