So what can you expect if you come for a five-day class at the folk school in North Carolina? This is my second year teaching here and gearing by up to come again in 2025! There is so much to explore in this amazing place which focuses on ancestral skills and intergenerational learning and teaching. It is an incredible place of learning, creativity and uniqueness. The largest and oldest folk school in America, it runs an incredible diversity of classes throughout the year. Nestled in the southern Appalachia mountains, it is definitely worth coming to check out. To access the school, it is recommended to fly into Atlanta Georgia and take the school shuttle. Join us as we look at how natural dyeing and band weaving can bring people together as we explore the grounds, it’s modern history and the rainbow of colours within.
