#education This time, here’s a tutorial on HOW TO REMOVE LINE ART from it’s WHITE BACKGROUND in PhotoShop. First, You’ll need line art. If you’re scanning your line art, into PhotoShop, SCAN in B&W or Greyscale, at least 400dpi. 600 is better. 800 is great. Step ONE: Adjust Brightness & Contrast. Step TWO: (If you started with an RGB photo) Change MODE to Greyscale. Discard the color information. Change MODE from Greyscale to Bitmap. RESOLUTION: 600 pixels per inch, 50% threshhold. Step THREE: Change MODE back to GREYSCALE. Step FOUR: In the LAYERS PALETTE, change your layer from BACKGROUND to LAYER ZERO. Step FIVE: Select ALL Step SIX: Cut Pixels Step SEVEN: Click on QuickMask MODE Step EIGHT: Paste. Step NINE: Click OFF QuickMask. Step TEN: Invert Selection Step 11: FILL the Selction with BLACK.
