Mono-White Shepherd is a simple and super fun aggro deck in white for Standard MTG Arena. It's designed to quickly fill the board with flying creatures and beat your opponent before they can do anything. This deck is perfect for beginners because there are no complicated combos—everything just works if you play creatures and attack. Right now, the deck is performing really well. In recent online tournaments, it's already taken 1st places (for example, player Uagli1 won 9 out of 10 matches), made top-8s, and consistently goes 5-0 in leagues. It's also climbing the Mythic ladder quickly because it beats most popular decks. You start the game with a cheap artifact called Springleaf Drum, which lets you play strong creatures super fast on turns 2-3. Then you drop Momo and Starfield Shepherd—they start creating little flying helpers (tokens). These helpers fly, so regular ground creatures can't block them easily. While your opponent tries to kill your big creatures, you just keep making more flying friends. Haliya makes all your flying creatures stronger, and you gain life every time. In the end, you just attack with a huge flock in the air, and your opponent can't stop the flood. Pros and cons of the deck Pros: Starts pressuring super fast (by turns 3-4, you have 5-7 flying creatures). Almost impossible to stop with single-target removal—too many tokens. You keep gaining life and don't die to aggressive decks. Easy to play—no need to count complicated combos. Cons: If your opponent wipes the whole board with one big spell, it can be hard to recover. Against super control decks (lots of counters), you sometimes lack speed. How to play — step-by-step tips for beginners Early game (first few turns): Try to play Springleaf Drum on turn 1. On turn 2 — Momo or Starfield Shepherd. Attack right away! Every Momo attack = new bird. Midgame (turns 3-5): Drop Haliya as fast as possible—she turns your flock into a life-gaining machine. Use Get Lost and Seam Rip only on the opponent's most dangerous threats. Don't be afraid to sacrifice Drum—the board full of creatures is key. Late game: If the game goes long, use Abandoned Air Temple and Cosmogrand Zenith. Figure of Fable will help bring back Haliya or Momo from the graveyard. Important rules for beginners: Always attack if you can—the more you attack, the more tokens you get. Don't waste Get Lost on small creatures—save it for big threats. If opponent has lots of flyers—use Seam Rip to bounce them back to hand. Who it's good against and what to swap Against aggressive decks (red, Boros) — add Clarion Conqueror and Sheltered by Ghosts. Against graveyard decks (Dimir Excruciator, Rakdos Monument) — bring in all 4 Rest in Peace. Against control decks — keep everything as is and just pressure faster.
