Beyond Hospitality: Migration & the Mission of the Church

One of the rapidly increasing pressure points in missions today is international migration. There are many "unreached people groups" among those who are "on the move", and many of them now live "next door" to us here in North America. What does the Bible say about our attitude toward newcomers to our communities? What is God calling the Church to be and to do in this era of global migration? What does the Great Commandment and the Great Commission have to do with being on mission with Jesus in the neighbourhoods where we live? Should we only tolerate people who have recently arrived in our neighbourhoods? Or, are we called to share the hospitality of Jesus, and show by our deeds and our words, what the "good news" about Him is all about?
