Sometimes looks can be deceiving. I have purchased MANY used Saito engines but I have never had one in this bad of a condition before. The ad said turns over with compression. Nothing could be further from the truth. List of conditons/issues with this engine. Locked up, does not turn over at all. Both valves were stuck down, and thus could never have compression. Timing gear was stuck and unable to be moved, thus the engine would never turn over. Piston ring fully compressed and stuck, again a cause for no compression. Bad bearings but I expected that. Carb frozen and throttle barrel would not move. Most difficult time I have ever had in removing a prop hub. It took 2 hours to get off. In the end I managed to get this in running condition again. Here is the review I left for the seller: Waited over 48 hours before item shipped and only after I inquired. Arrived in a box with little to no packing material. Ad says turns over with compression, engine is locked up. Sent a message after the sale but prior to shipping asking questions about the item, no response from seller. Over all bad seller and bad deal.
