Our first full day in New Orleans — and what a start! Thanks to the time difference we were up bright and early, ready to explore the city. First stop: the world-famous Café du Monde for our very first (of many!) beignets of the trip — fluffy, sugary perfection. Next, we wandered down Bourbon Street before the crowds arrived to see this iconic spot in daylight, then made our way through the French Market, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the city. Of course, we couldn’t resist grabbing an authentic muffuletta from Central Grocery & Deli — and it absolutely lived up to the hype!
