Our smartphones offer everything at our fingertips and the popularity of social media can help or hinder the sharing of useful information. A great strategy to convey legal information is to meet your audience where they are. That means that taking to social media may be the most effective way to reach young people with legal information. Recent data shows that more and more of us are using social media as our main source of news and receiving information. Most notably, 46% of those aged between 18-24 reported using social media as their main source of information and news[1]. In this webinar Caitlin Caruana shared insights from WestJustice’s project: Legal Street Smarts - Socially Networked. The project led to the enhancement of Westjustice’s social media to deliver legal information to young people via Instagram. This project was funded by a Victoria Law Foundation Grant.
