Phantasy by Ina Boyle - World Premiere Recording - Typeset & Performed by Erin Hennessey

The music of Irish composer Ina Boyle (1889 – 1967) is performed now more than ever before, but stacks of her unexplored manuscripts are still stored in Trinity College Manuscript Library waiting to be re-discovered. This recording is the world premiere of Boyle’s Phantasy for violin and chamber orchestra, composed in 1926. Violinist Erin Hennessey typeset the first edition of the work; the score and parts are now available through the Contemporary Music Centre in Dublin. She performs the Phantasy here alongside faculty, students and alumni of the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
