Read me! Firstly there are many things in this video that will get you in to trouble! Secondly Wear gloves when using chemicals!! Thirdly Don't try any of this at home!!! I decided to clean up this No2 Record vice, Then to try a mounting idea I got from watching a couple of tool restorers over in the USA, they mount their vices on barbell weights As my weights get more use than Arnies I had to try something else 😉 The vice was in good used condition, Really all I needed to do to it was give it a drop of oil but I decided to take it to pieces and give it a good going over This is an experiment to see if I like using it on a base or if it takes up too much space.... Some operations were shortened to make me look good! 😁 Paint; The paint I used here was Hammerite Direct to Rust Smooth Blue Metal Paint, The original colour that Record used was ROUNDEL BLUE BS381C Ben Mall, tool restoration • Premier Vise Joe's Shop, tool restoration • Reed Vise Part 2
