I show you how i season my swag. My unconventional method is not how most people would season a new swag. There's a number of methods how to season a new swag. The method i show you, is the same way we would season a canvas tent, over 45 years ago when i was in the scouts. But, we would place our large canvas tents in a big drum of water and allow it to soak. The old school methods worked way back then, and they still work today. You really should season a new swag before you go camping and use it for the first time. I find that soaking my swag in the bath over night, it allows the canvas of the new swag to be completely soaked, and gets right into the stitching holes. Then the next day, the new swag is set up out side to dry in the sunshine. As the canvas dries, it shrinks around the stitching holes and it's that process, that water proofs your new canvas swag. This method is the best way to season a swag that i have found. So, thats how to season a swag the old school way.
