‘Don’t expect the high-quality gold producers to trade at 30-40 times earnings again’ — David Lotan

Asked whether now is a generational opportunity to buy floundering gold stocks, David Lotan, CEO of LHI Capital, said the current macro-economic environment makes it an “interesting time to invest”. Lotan spoke to Kitco at the Rule Symposium Natural Resource Investing 2023 show held in Boca Raton, Florida. “One of the reasons I think that, is interest rates have been raised so rapidly by the Federal Reserve that we really haven't had a chance to see how the underlying economy will react,” he said, pointing out the profitless tech companies, which according to Lotan, “have been all the rage and are currently enjoying a bit of a bounce back.
