Made EXCLUSIVELY at the Singer manufacturing plant in Kilbowie, Scotland from 1953 until about 1961, the Featherweight 222K, affectionally known as the "Queen of Singers," is one of the most sought after sewing machines in the world....period. Only about 100,000 -110,000 were made during the entire eight (8) years of production...meaning only about 13,000 rolled out of the factory in Scotland each year. That equates to about 3% of the normal production of a Singer household sewing machine, to include the common Featherweight 221.
