After 2 years of full day intensive #ABA training at AP, Kimi was accepted to a #kindergarten in Sept 2018 for half day class, while continued hald day ABA training at AP. This September, Kimi will go to a mainstream primary school as a full-time student! It’s a pleasure to have Kimi’s mom to share with us her journey and the memorable moments along the way! Like many new parents, when Kimi’s mom first knew her child was diagnosed with ASD, she was lost and worried about Kimi’s future. One of her advice to all the fellow parents is that, when you are concern whether your child is on the spectrum, it’s important to seek professional help early. Kimi’s mom was invited to present her perspective as an educational opportunity for addressing the awareness of ASD and importance of early-intervention. Kimi is a past client of Autism Partnership Hong Kong, but no longer receives any services from Autism Partnership Hong Kong. ------------------------------------ Kimi has been receiving intensive ABA training at AP HK since 2 years and 7 months old (January 2017). When we first met Kimi, he was non-verbal (could only make limited sounds) and had limited non-verbal skills. He exhibited some disruptive behaviors and was weak at listening to instructions with poor eye contacts. He was quite rigid and has restricted interests (only liked cars and wheels).
