This is one of the best campus green and beautiful, this place designed so beautifully, one of the most enjoying place in kiit University. The full name of the hostel is Kings Palace 8 and 8B. As the name suggest it is a boys hostel. In this hostel the students of KIIT University stays.it is located between campus 11 and campus 16 of kiit University. The boys of this hostel are mainly form three branch biotechnology department, electrical department and civil department. It is both type of rooms that is AC rooms and non AC rooms. There is only one bloc that is A bloc and has five bathroom and washroom in each floor. Three bathroom are big in size and 2 are small. It has a studyroom at the top floor. The hostel is 4 steory. It has 2 balcony which remains locked. There is a health and fitness centre of the KIIT University near by which consists of gym, swimming pool, badminton court and 8 ball pool room. There is a mess in the hostel which serves food daily 4 times a day. The hostel is a rough E shapped hostel. The food quality is fair and the hostel during wintera gets infested with insects. International boys hostel is nice place to stay and spend studying time in India.full 24 hour WiFi connection 7days per week cleaning team for every room each floor equipped with water cooler and one small common fridge for the entire hostel the weakness of the hostel is not having laundry machine in each floor and library (study room). The rooms are good, 3 bed in each room with one window and 2 fans, study table attached but will feel the heat during summer. Maid comes daily for cleaning at a particular time. Bathroom are so-so and each floor has 4 bathroom at the corners. KIIT was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with only two staff and 12 students. However, it took shape as an institution only in 1997, when degree engineering programme commenced. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta who, with no land, limited finances (only Rs. 5000/-) and little knowledge of higher education to create an institution for the benefit of the society. From these small beginnings, KIIT has developed into a leading university with a strong interdisciplinary culture and a commitment to teaching excellence. KIIT is one of the first institutions in the State of Odisha to attract foreign students into its various academic programmes. KIIT has students from over 65 countries, including most of the South Asian Nations, proving its reputation as a quality institution of professional education that transcends borders. KIIT, though a very young institution has performed incredibly well in the rankings conducted by various national and international associations. Founded in 1992 and opened five years later as a centre for higher learning, its commitment to teaching excellence led to the grant of university status under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India in 2004, within only seven years of its inception. It holds a Limca Record for this accomplishment. KIIT was established in 1992 as an Industrial Training Institute with only twelve students and two faculty.[21] This institution was the brainchild of Achyuta Samanta, C R Mishra, P K Mishra who had envisioned a profound center of learning in India and so pursued to lay the foundation of KIIT. In 1997, the School of Technology and the School of Computer Application was established. In 2004 it was conferred the status of deemed university and renamed KIIT University.[22] The KIIT School of Biotechnology, School of Rural Management, School of Medicine and KIIT Law School were started in 2007.[23] In 2017, the institute was renamed back Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, following a request from all institutes deemed to be universities not to use "university" in their title.[24] In 2019, KIIT was recognised as an Institute of Eminence by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
