Both mystics use the image of iron plunged into fire to describe what happens when the soul encounters Divine Love. Drawing on their wisdom and my own near-death experience, I offer a perspective on the soul’s journey from darkness to radiance, from an egoic self to a new way of being. One mystic emphasizes total transformation, while the other highlights the preservation of our soul’s uniqueness within the Fire. I believe both are true.
