Hi everyone, Steve here 👋 – welcome back to my channel Cruise Travel And Explore With Stickman Steve. If you’re new here, I’m all about sharing genuine holiday experiences – the good, the bad, and the unexpected – so you can get a real feel for what a place is like before you go. My hope is that these vlogs help you plan your own trips with confidence, avoid any pitfalls, and maybe even inspire your next adventure. This is Vlog 7 from our 8-night Jet2 Holidays trip to St George Hotel Spa & Beach Resort in Paphos, Cyprus 🇨🇾 – an adults-only, All Inclusive Plus holiday we booked with Jet2 Holidays, flying from Manchester Airport to Paphos International Airport. If you haven’t already seen the earlier vlogs, you can catch the full hotel tour in Vlog 1 where I walk through all the areas in detail. 🌞 Our Day (Day 5 of the holiday) We started the morning with breakfast at Thea Restaurant, though it was very busy at 9.30am, so we retreated to our usual favourite – the Boulevard Café Bar – where two double espressos set us up for the day ☕. Unfortunately, the morning didn’t begin perfectly – I had a painful accident in the room during the night. I stubbed my right foot badly on the angled chair legs near the bed, splitting my little toe open and possibly fracturing it 😣. It was really painful and bled a lot, so we had to pop to the local chemist and supermarket for bandages, plasters, antiseptic wipes, and some antiseptic spray gel to help stop infection. If you’re staying here – do watch out for the leather chairs in the room, the legs stick out at an angle and are very easy to catch. Once patched up, we took a gentle walk around the hotel to film some of the areas again (in case anyone missed them in earlier vlogs). You’ll see clips of: Boulevard Café Bar Lobby & Garden Suites Pelagos Greek Taverna Sun Loungers & Beach Zone Drops Casual Dining & Thea Restaurant Route 66 Bar & Grill Restaurant Souvenir Shop & Hairdressing Salon St George Church (a must-see, just next door to the hotel, free to visit and very peaceful 🙏) Sunset Beach Bar & Aeolos Pool/Jacuzzi Mercato Italian Restaurant & Sweet Cones Gelateria We finished our afternoon with cocktails at the Sunset Beach Bar, watching the waves roll in – the perfect way to relax. 🚢 Evening Excursion – Ocean Vision Night Cruise The highlight of this vlog is our evening boat trip with Paphos Sea Cruises, booked directly on their website (you can also book via Get Your Guide or Viator). We paid around €79 each (about £58) which included transfers, a welcome glass of prosecco 🥂, and four hours on the Ocean Vision, one of Europe’s most luxurious coastal cruisers. The cruise included: A stunning sunset sail towards Riccos Bay 🌅 A freshly cooked Cypriot Meze Buffet dinner 🍴 Unlimited drinks from the open bar 🍹 Live traditional Cypriot music & dancing 💃🕺 An international show with singers and dancers 🎶 And of course – a spectacular fireworks display over the water 🎆 The staff really went above and beyond – constantly topping up drinks and checking on guests. The entertainment was fantastic, with a great DJ later on, and the fireworks lit up the night sky beautifully. A couple of tips from me: Eat something before you go – dinner isn’t served until around 8.30pm, so you might get hungry if you’ve had an early lunch. Take a jacket or wrap – it was windy on deck and blankets ran out quickly. If you want a more intimate evening, ask for a table for two when boarding. Even though my injured foot meant I couldn’t join in with the dancing, I still really enjoyed the cruise. The mix of sunset views, music, great food, and fireworks made it a memorable evening. ⏰ The Journey Back We arrived back at Paphos Harbour around 11pm, then caught our included coach transfer back to the hotel. Everything was really well organised, and by the time we got back it was nearly midnight – ready to collapse into bed after a brilliant night.
