We took the Harley-Davidson X440 and subjected it to a series of extreme torture tests designed to push the motorcycle to its absolute limits. Over three days of brutal testing, we wanted to see if the Harley-Davidson X440 could truly survive and still be ridden home. The first challenge: two hours of relentless off-roading to test endurance and durability. Next came a steep hill climb littered with jagged rocks and boulders, ready to punish the sump and underbelly. The third was an extreme load test, towing a pickup truck weighing nearly two tonnes. Then came the water submersion test, dunking the Harley-Davidson X440 in 7 feet of water for a full 15 minutes. And for the grand finale: the ultimate destruction test — a 30-foot crane drop.
