Hideyoshi’s name stays Toyotomi throughout the entire story here. The story starts with a cutscene taken from base SW3. Yamazaki is pretty ordinary, except for how many non-generics the Toyotomi has prevented me from filling every slot of the officer placement. This becomes a much bigger problem later as Hideyoshi spares absolutely every playable character he defeats and really causes the gold requirement to pay off their salary to skyrocket, forcing me to play with very little gold to spend later. They defeat Mitsuhide, but he escapes. He doesn’t join until two generic stages later. One thing I never mentioned until now is that these 10 new characters who get stories in this game have new render arts for them not seen anywhere else on the story selection screen. Also Hideyoshi has the same VA as Motonari and Jia Xu, but still sounds pretty distinct and speaks with some sort of dialect.
