Exploring the Timeless Beauty of Shiraz: Saadi's Tomb, Naqsh-e Rostam, and Persepoli, Episode-1

Join me on a journey to the mesmerizing city of Shiraz, located in the heart of Iran. Known as the city of poets, Shiraz is an enchanting destination that offers an abundance of historical and cultural landmarks to explore. During my visit to Shiraz, I had the opportunity to explore some of its most famous attractions. This video is the first part of a trilogy. My first stop was the Tomb of Saadi, the famous Persian poet who lived in the 13th century. The tomb is located in a tranquil garden, surrounded by fragrant flowers and towering cypress trees. Inside the tomb, I was able to see the intricate calligraphy and artwork that adorns the walls and ceiling, paying tribute to Saadi's literary legacy. Next, I visited the historical site of Naqsh-e Rostam, which is located just a short distance from Shiraz. This site is home to a collection of ancient rock-cut tombs, dating back to the Achaemenid era. These tombs are believed to have been constructed for Persian kings and high-ranking officials. The tombs are cut into the rock face and feature intricate carvings and decorations, showcasing the impressive skills of ancient Persian artisans. My next stop was the magnificent ancient city of Persepolis. This UNESCO World Heritage site is considered one of the greatest archaeological wonders of the world. Persepolis was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire and was built over 2,500 years ago. The site is a collection of monumental palaces and buildings, featuring exquisite stone carvings and reliefs that depict ancient Persian history and mythology. As the sun began to set, I took a stroll around the city of Shiraz, mostly around "Vakil Complex", admiring the beauty of its illuminated landmarks and lively streets.
