Follow our cyclists as they tackle the final stretch of the Central Mountain Range Challenge and continue their twin lighthouses challenge. Discover more stunning landscapes and ponder the reasons behind cycling with these intrepid adventurers in this episode of Pedal On. Head out onto the road once again as our cyclists make their way to Sun Moon Lake in Nantou County, central Taiwan. As the largest body of water on the island, Sun Moon Lake is a popular tourist destination for both locals and international visitors. Designated as a scenic area, there are many great bike paths and routes to enjoy around the lake. It’s also home to the Indigenous Thao people, with an abundance of culture and beautiful scenery to enjoy while circumnavigating the lake. Next, the cyclists make their way to the famous Zinan Temple, an official stop on the challenge, they might also want to pray for some good luck! After lunch, the cyclists tackle a grueling climb before they arrive at Meishan Township Library. As they pedal on they make their way to Chiayi, where their hard work is rewarded as they cross the challenge finish line. Although the route this time was cut short due to damage to the Tataka road section, the cyclists have tackled 110 kilometers. This might be the end of the Central Mountain Range Challenge, but it is not the end for our committed cyclists tackling the north-to-south twin lighthouses route.
