Hello everyone, I am Leo. This video was shot near the Bell Tower in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China. There is a food street (The Muslim Quarter) here. It is a famous food and cultural district in Xi'an. It is a general term for many streets, including Beiyuanmen, Beiguangji Street, Xiyangshi, Dapiyuan, Huajue Lane, Sajin Bridge and other streets. Local people in Xi'an call this area "Fangshang", while tourists from other places are accustomed to calling it "Huimin Street". Beiyuanmen Street, where Huimin Street is located, has become a place where Hui people live in Xi'an from the late Northern Song Dynasty to the early Southern Song Dynasty. It developed into a traditional commercial activity area for Hui people in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In 1992, Beiyuanmen Street was renovated, and the asphalt road and brick sidewalks on both sides were paved with bluestone, and two-story buildings were built on both sides in the style of Ming and Qing Dynasties. In September 1993, it was built into an antique cultural tourism street. Because this is where Hui residents live and gather, it is named. Xi'an Muslim Street represents the mutual influence and integration of multi-ethnic cultures, while retaining traces of ancient East-West trade exchanges. The mosques in the street demonstrate tolerance of multi-ethnic religions. Muslim Street attracts a large number of Chinese and foreign tourists all year round and is deeply loved by Chinese and foreign tourists.
