Gently ride up to the cabins in about 7 minutes, Old Mill Road Condition on 11-3-2025

We like to be transparent about our rental. This is our first post-Helene road video. There are spots where there are additional repairs scheduled, but there's a few dozen families using it so it will remain open. The road up to the cabins is an authentic, old-school, Blue Ridge Mountain, owner-maintained gravel road.It has a few switchbacks and sometimes a few ruts. We always recommend 4x4 or AWD, but regular 2WD cars make it up every day. The mountain is our special place, and we are thankful for the road as it is; this is why we moved here. We like to take it slow, take some deep breaths, and be thankful we're back home at the mountain. The drive only takes about 7 minutes when driving slowly.
