It wouldn’t be a Disney Christmas without the Candlelight Processional! This tradition began in 1958 with Walt Disney at Disneyland. Walt Disney World held its first Candlelight Processional in 1971 at Magic Kingdom Park, and in 1994 the event moved to the America Gardens Theater in Epcot. Candlelight Processionals retell the story of the birth of Christ. Disney’s versions often feature powerful orchestras, large choirs, and famous guest narrators who lead the ceremony. Each year during Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays, guests can purchase a dining package that includes a prix fixe lunch or dinner at select restaurants and guarantees seating at the America Gardens Theater for one of three showtimes. These dining packages are extremely popular, and sometimes pricey, with certain options exceeding $100 dollars. Although we’ve attended Epcot’s Candlelight Processional before, we had never tried the dining package until filming this video. In our opinion, these events are can’t-miss, but with meal prices and admission topping $100 at some restaurants, we really wondered if it was worth it. In this video, we dine at Shiki Sai and try their $99 prix fixe Candlelight Processional Dining Package. Our celebrity narrator was Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars! We share our thoughts on the value, the experience, and whether we think the higher price makes sense. And since we’re not the biggest fans of Shiki Sai’s desserts, we also made time to highlight our favorite cookie in ALL of Walt Disney World! Join us for a night of Christmas music, incredible choirs, Ashley Eckstein, Japanese food, cookies, storytellers, and holiday fun at Epcot!
