Hey Friends. I'm creating my first composition notebook art journal. Phase one of my project is to prepare the pages and ONLY create the background layer for each spread. I mainly glued two pages together to give them more strength and limit bleed through. I challenged myself to use every acrylic paint I had in my stash as well as experiment with some new acrylic inks. I threw in a couple of collaged pages, but used mainly paints. There were a few times I wanted to keep going on a page to the next step, but I held back. Now it is ready to be a jumping off point for my creativity. I am already feeling inspired as well as challenged by some of the backgrounds. Come back and visit me as this journal comes alive page by page, with process videos.
