Hello :) This is the requested transcription I did of the Robert Palmer song "Every Kinda People". This come from his 1978 album "Double Fun". I think the bass player on this track was Pierre Brock, but I can't say for sure. There are three players listed on the album. If anyone knows for sure, please let me know and I'll update this information. This transcription can be found at https://www.muzento.com under Advanced - Learning Songs subject. This is a nice song with a groovy bass line and a nice message. The rhythm in this song reminds me of some "latin" type charts I've played before. I would describe the rhythm as a slow Samba. This is actually a tricky bass line. It's not the most friendly key to be reading in (Gb), and there are a bunch of different ways one could play this part. The high grace notes will surprise you if you're not prepared for them. There are slight variations on each verse to watch out for. The nice thing is that the chorus' and the lead into the chorus remain constant. It reads pretty good. Just remember to subdivide and look ahead.
