The Vesper is a bullpup submachine gun featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Zombies : The Vesper can be found in Zombies. It can be found on the wall for 1250 points in Shadows of Evil, The Giant, Der Eisendrache, Zetsubou No Shima, Gorod Krovi and Revelations. It is a very useful weapon on Shadows of Evil, as the wall locations are very convenient. The first one is in the Footlight district, by the staircase that needs powering, which is useful for players training through the rifts. The second is in the rift, next to the staircase that goes down from Mule Kick, another great training area. It has an extreme rate of fire, which can be good or bad depending on the player's situation: if there are a lot of zombies close to the player, it can be used to kill them quickly. However, in a normal situation, it can be rather ineffective due to the fact that its high fire rate makes it burn through ammo very quickly, especially with its average magazine size. Again due to its high rate of fire, the Double Tap Root Beer 2.0 Perk-a-Cola and the Rapid Fire attachment may prove to be too much of a fire rate boost for the gun because they will make it very hard to control recoil. It can, however, be effective as a backup weapon when surrounded. The Grip can prove to be an effective attachment to stable the gun's high recoil some, and may be necessary if the player plans on using Rapid Fire or Double Tap Root Beer 2.0. Although Extended Mags isn't available for the player to use to counter how fast the Vesper burns through its ammo, Fast Mag and/or Speed Cola can be effective alternatives so that when the player must waste time reloading, it will not take as long to do so. When upgraded via the Pack-a-Punch Machine, it becomes the Infernus, with more reserve ammo, a larger magazine capacity, and a damage increase. It is very effective at taking out hordes, due to the large magazine, high fire rate, and moderate damage. Ammo is of concern, but ammo for the Pack-a-Punched Vesper can be bought off walls. Locations : Shadows of Evil : Near the Gobblegum Machine in the Footlight District and near the staircase in the Underground. The Giant : By the Clocktower where the FG42 used to sit in Der Riese. Der Eisendrache : In the Courtyard near the Well and by the Wunderfizz Machine opposite the bedrooms near the Stone Dragon. Zetsubou No Shima : To the left of Lab B. Gorod Krovi : Beside the Workbench in the Bunker Revelations : In the second level of Nacht Der Untoten and to the right of the Flogger in Origins. Kino der Toten : Just in front of the entrance door to the foyer. Staff of Ice The Staff of Ice, commonly referred to in the community as the Ice Staff, is one of four buildable Elemental Staffs in the Zombies map Origins. The Staff of Ice shoots blasts of ice when fired, and similarly to the Winter's Howl, will slow down zombies, eventually freezing them and cracking them apart. In Black Ops II, the ice blast doesn't instantly kill zombies, so before freezing and shattering the zombie may have a chance to hit you. However, in Black Ops III, the zombies will die instantly. Staff of Fire The Staff of Fire, commonly referred to in the community as the Fire Staff, is one of four buildable Elemental Staffs in the Zombies map Origins. The crystal also makes a brief appearance in Blood of the Dead featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The Staff of Fire shoots three balls of molten rock, horizontally, when fired, which will cause zombies near the impact zone to burn, stunning them in pain before either burning up or recovering depending on if shot again. Staff of Lightning The Staff of Lightning, commonly referred to in the community as the Lightning Staff, is one of four buildable Elemental Staffs in the Zombies map Origins. The Staff of Lightning shoots bolts of lightning when fired, and similarly to the Wunderwaffe DG-2, will chain and kill multiple zombies, although it is limited in the fact that the lightning will chain up to two or three zombies per bolt. If shot at the feet of zombies, it is possible to kill more than two-three zombies.
