Freewing Su-35 ✈️ Christmas Fun!!

What better way to celebrate Christmas than to... get you favourite EDF and head over to the field to deplete Li-Po packs as if there was no tomorrow? HAHAHAHA! We'll that's me and my secret to happiness, thank me l8r. :p Lyuda, my Su-35 flagship has finally achieved the all so elusive thrust to weight ratio exceeding one, and I am having a blast exploiting it. You can tell in that first take-off. I could have kept going but think the point was clear, lol. T/W over 1 is literally a dream come true. And I am still getting over 4 minute flight times. w00t-w00t ! This power combo rules! :D ❤️ Thanks to some friends that recommended to me the FMS Pro 1900kv EDF combo and having moved to newer batteries that deliver great power at a reasonable weight I've finally achieved my goal of getting the Su-35 to hover! Now I need to perform further aircraft setup and gyro tuning to make it look smoother but I am already very happy with the results so far, which you can check and enjoy in this video :) As far as batteries go, these flights were performed exclusively on HRB 50C 6S 5000mAh Li-Po packs. These are around 725g. After 4 cycles their IR has also seemed to decrease from 4-7 milliohms/cell to just 2-3, which is a very good sign :) Still don't think this will perform for as long as the CNHL ones but we'll see, time will tell, I'll keep you posted. The old Panther packs have all perished (except one) at around 120-130 cycles. They served with distinction but their age is over. Flights 330th to 333rd with Lyuda. It includes a gyro for the TV nozzles to help perform extreme hover and high alpha maneuvers (Stabilizing functions are only turned on for particular maneuvers). As for the jet itself, the SU-35S is well known for its supermaneuverability features, that are a result of a good aerodynamic design coupled with the use of thrust vectoring nozzles. The pilot displays a few post-stall maneuvers using the TV nozzles that would be otherwise impossible to perform with a normal jet aircraft.
