Kenco has been producing coffee for over 100 years but recently they have switched up the packaging by making it fully recyclable at home. It's their first refill paper packaging but the same great tasting coffee that's been has been carefully sourced with only the finest of beans. 💭My thoughts 💭 One thing that confuses me about recycling is that I don't understand why we need to have refills when the original glass jars are recyclable. Glass is one of the most sustainable materials on earth & is 100% recyclable so why paper bags? That could compromise the great quality and taste of the coffee. I don't usually use refills as like I said above I can easily recycle my glass jars. But was excited to try the new paper bag refills to see if the coffee tasted as good. Even though it's in a paper bag there does seem to be some sort of silver lining obviously to seal in the freshness of the coffee. I would 100% recommend storing in a cool dry space though as I think there could be a high possibility the coffee getting damp ruining the coffee experience. So my first cup of coffee ☕️ ☕️ the coffee has a full bodied taste. I like that it doesn't have that bitter after taste. Just a smooth quality tasting instant coffee. ☕️I used it to refill my coffee jar and was actually shocked how it filled it over half way, considering it's only 150g it seems like there is more coffee in the refill. ☕️personally I'm not against the paper packaging just dubious to wether other refills will still have the great taste every time as transport & stores tend to have damp storage areas etc and this could impact on the quality of taste. But for me I. Love me a full bodied rich aroma coffee and this really hit that spot for me. ☕️the bag was actually really easy to tear open so this could be an issue in stores. ☕️the frozen instant coffee beans had been perfectly blended and was not to powdery. It has that beautiful strong coffee aroma. Taste wise it was perfect👍🏻 I may purchase again as I would still honestly purchase the glass jars over the paper refills.
