What's good everyone?! Today's video features the store tour of JCPenney store #0739. The store is located in North Charleston, SC, and is 1 of 4 anchors at the Northwoods Mall. The store opened in 1992, replacing the outgoing Kerrison's department store located at the mall. It is currently the only 2 floor store at the mall. During my visit, the store had minimal business, but I was here on a weekday around 5 in the evening. JCPenney Beauty had been opened in the former Sephora space a few weeks prior to my video, and it was nice to see it in person. The checkout in the men's department is used the most during the store's operating hours, and seemed to have a consistent line throughout my time here. On the 1st floor are the men's, women's, and shoes departments. Upstairs is where women's specialty clothing, home appliances, kids/baby clothing & shoes, bedding, home decor/essentials, Customer Service, and the JCPenney Salon are located. Overall, the store looked like a mixture between "not too dated" and "not too modern." There were some spots in the store where new, LED lighting was (JCPenney Beauty & JCPenney Salon), and there were also spots where dimmer, softer lighting was. Vibrant, colorful signs were posted in each department, and it is clearly evident that the associates are trying their best to support the retailer. The curbside delivery service appears to do well, and departments appeared to be well-stocked and organized with merchandise. I can respect such determination and devotion towards the store, and I wish the crew at 0739 great success in the future. JCPenney is a midscale department store chain that operates 667 stores across 49 U.S. States (and Puerto Rico) and is based out of Kemmerer, WY.
