Gen. Satish Dua. Lieutenant General Satish Dua, PVSM, UYSM, SM, VSM retired as the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff. A counter-terrorism specialist, General Dua was the Corps Commander in Kashmir, who planned and executed the Surgical Strikes in response to the terror attack at Uri. He has commanded his Battalion as well as a Brigade in active militancy in Jammu & Kashmir on Line of Control, (LoC). As a Major General, he raised and commanded a new Counter Terrorism Division of Assam Rifles to coordinate operations in three states of the North East. The General has also been a Commando Instructor as a Captain and Indian Defence Attaché in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos as a Colonel. He has also held important appointments in Army HQ, dealing with capital and revenue procurement of weapons & equipment.
