Innesti | Ambient | Eurorack Modular Synthesizer | 23 This video is part of a series that focuses on generative modular ambient. In these videos I'll be using my Eurorack modular system to create meditative patches that breathe and float. I am especially interested in generative processes, allowing the modular system to "play itself" and create slowly evolving textures that have no beginning and no end. You'll need decent speakers or headphones to hear the sub bass; the sub is driving the melodic shifts. The Oxi One is sequencing the melodies, which include two sequences for two Rings and one sub bass sequence for the Qu-Bit Chord. The melodies from the Rings are being routed to the Instruo Arbhar where the Arbhar is slowly scanning the loop and triggering grains. Those grains are being split, with one channel going into reverb and the mixer. The other is going into the Panharmonium with a 50-50 wet/dry mix to create a bit of sine-wave shimmer. That sound is then being processed through the Qu-Bit Nebulae. The Nebulae is playing back a mix of the live audio and a sample of the audio. Thanks to the Nebulae's ability to independently manipulate pitch and speed, that audio is pitched up an octave while being slowed down. All the output from the Nebulae is being routed through reverb on the way to the mixer. The background texture layer is a friend's recording of a corn auger, processed through reverb and some EQ'ing to create an ambient layer. It closes the track. #eurorack #modular #ambient
