‘Alien’ by Amara Latchford

Alien was created as part of Solihull CEP & Culture Solihull’s annual Small is Beautiful showcase. This musical composition explores the idea of human smallness in the face of the infinite, and how our fleeting lives and emotions exist within an immeasurable cosmos. The piece experiments with more ambient textures, and experimental sounds to illustrate the quiet wonder of being part of something so vast. Small is Beautiful is a series of micro-commissions, which give artists the opportunity to try out new ideas, concepts and ways of working. This piece was showcased on 7th February 2026 at The Core Theatre.
